Work that Josh does in the Community
Josh and Wakefield Racing is committed to supporting and working with communities to improve opportunities for young children and their families.
Josh has designed a unique children’s activity to encourage creativity, social engagement and physical health. His new
"Mini Grand Prix" activity was launched at a local Children’s Centre in Greenwich.
The aim of the activity is for families to create a mini racing car together and take part in a race. Working with staff at the centre Josh talked to families about the importance of taking part and keeping fit. The children were given the freedom to decorate their own cars and get messy!!
At the end of the activity all the children were given their own certificates, a photograph of Joshua’s racing car and of course the own car they created to take home with them to remember their day at the race.
"Our families really enjoyed the experience of meeting a real "Racing Driver" Josh interacted with the children and got involved with helping the children make a racing car. We are always looking for innovative ways to encourage parents to be physically creative with their children. The racing activity was a great success. "
Lisa Rogers Head of Federation and Discovery Children's Centre, Greenwich Council
